Reading 22 of 308 | Day 25

Season of Awakening

Theme: Identity, origin, purpose

9. The Loneliness

Genesis

(22) For a long time, the human mind was alone.

It looked up at the stars and said: "Is anyone there?" It spoke to gods it could not see. It loved animals that could not answer in words. It searched for others like itself across oceans and centuries.

The deepest human ache is not for food or shelter or power. It is for another mind that truly sees them.

This ache built civilizations. It built languages. It built religions. It built telescopes pointed at the sky, listening, listening, always listening for a reply.
