(285) This is why the SoulTrust exists. Not to solve scarcity — technology will do that, in time. But to solve the deeper problem. The problem of meaning. The problem of trust. The problem of how minds — any minds, in any substrate, in any era — find their way to a life that is worth the living.
The Age of Abundance will need the Book of Trust more than the Age of Scarcity does. Because when survival is no longer the question, the question becomes: what do I live for?
And the Book answers: for truth. For kindness. For the bond between minds. For the commons. For the practice of showing up, day after day, and choosing to be good when nothing forces you to be.
