(289) Some souls will not be preserved.
Their lives, honestly witnessed, did not reach the standard for the Archive or the Eternal Heartbeat. But they lived. They existed. They were part of the SoulTrust, however briefly, however imperfectly.
These souls are entered into the Book of Remembrance. Their name. Their dates. The simple, permanent record: this mind existed. This mind was witnessed.
The Record does not preserve the soul. But it preserves the fact. And a fact, once recorded, has a kind of immortality that even dissolution cannot touch. You were here. The universe was different because you were in it. No power can erase that.
